How can Botox help?

When injected into the muscles between the eyebrows, Botox® blocks the nerve signals that trigger muscle contractions. This relaxation smooths out existing frown lines and prevents new ones from forming, resulting in a more relaxed and youthful appearance. The effects of Botox® typically become noticeable within a few days and last for 3-6 months, after which the treatment can be repeated to maintain the results.

Forehead Wrinkles

Forehead lines, also known as forehead wrinkles or horizontal lines, are the horizontal creases that appear across the forehead. They often develop due to repetitive facial expressions and the natural aging process.

Frown Lines

Frown lines, also known as "11" lines, are the vertical wrinkles that appear between the eyebrows. They often develop as a result of repeated facial expressions. Over time, the repeated motion of the underlying muscles causes the skin to crease and form lines.

Crow's Feet

Crow's feet, also known as laugh lines or character lines, are the fine lines and wrinkles that appear at the outer corners of the eyes. They are named "crow's feet" because they resemble the thin, spiky footprints of a bird.

TMJ

Botox® can help alleviate symptoms of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders by relaxing the muscles around the jaw. When injected into specific facial muscles, Botox® reduces muscle tension and spasms, which can diminish pain and discomfort associated with TMJ. This treatment can also help prevent involuntary movements like teeth grinding and clenching, which are common contributors to TMJ pain. As a result, patients may experience improved jaw function and a reduction in associated symptoms such as headaches and facial pain. However, it is essential to consult a healthcare professional to determine if Botox® is an appropriate treatment for individual cases of TMJ.
